SEEKING PHOTOS OR VIDEO OF "THE END" ARTWORK & MANDOLIN SERENADER
Long-time Burning Man artist and all-around good guy Bob "Wizzard"
Marzewski wants some pics of his art installation this year. That was
the giant "THE END" sculpture out at the trash fence. He requests:
"If you took photos/video of THE END, I'd love to post them on my site
and give you a credit line and/or link to your site. I'd especially
like photos of while we were building since I took so few. (The higher
rez the better!)
I'd also love to get in contact with the woman who sang and played the
mandolin like an angel for my friend and I by THE END as the sky faded
to black one night. She was planning on releasing a CD of her music
that I'd really like to get.
Reach me at wizzard@wizzard.com on either topic."

Photo by Lori Karns Photos attached. I loved it. I played the theme from hofw Pt 1 and
1941 on my trumpet by your art. Please let me know if you want higher
rez, but they are misc photos, so I can't promise anything as some are
from campmates. Photoshop could probably give your something
unadulterated...

Photo by Wayne and Paula Sayer Hello Mr. Wizard
Thank you for building The End! It was a fun surprise to come upon it while investigating the deep playa. I took just a couple of photos of it, one with our trusty unicorn named Sam pulling our quadracycle in front, and the other with my wife Paula dressed in gold to the side. I've enclosed the originals so you can edit them if you want to use one. Sorry they're not that good...
We have other pics at http://wsayer.smugmug.com/etc if you don't have anything better to do.

As darkness fades away, a giant THE END emerges. We've been partying next to it all night.

Photo by Sheri L Koetting Resting on The End is a random playa gift, which is the best kind. The Early Times, 2 cigs, and 2 packettes of Vitamin C.
**Are you the ones putting al the trash bags on the perimeter fence? I saw
it from 'THE END' one day, as you were setting them up, and the next day
they were gone. I walked over and got the idea of what you were doing.
**Have you seen:

Photo by Jen Rogers Hi there,
We made the trek out to The End one of the days and it was a trek.... the playa was
just difficult and soft this year. Enjoy the photo...

Email by jango Mr. Wiz,
You were my greeter this year. I was in the Airstream. Member??? Very
cool. thanks
Also my neighbor. I had the Amerikan flag tipi at The Trash Fence right
next to THE END.
I saw your solicitation for photos, so I thought I would extend my
solicitation to your solicitation and see if you have any TRASH FENCE
photos.
I personally didn't take any pictures cuz a camera wasn't able to fit in
my tutu.
Thanks and see you next year . . .

Photo by Dave Howell I didn't know your installation was there until I found it, so it was
a total surprise, and an absolutely delightful discovery. Thank you!.

Photo by Dave Howell And as regards the second picture; I don't think it's necessarily a
great picture of your artwork, but just imagine how grateful I was to
see that art car driving past while I was there!!!!

Photo by Major Danger Well hello there Mr. Wizzard---
First of all, thank you so much for the beautiful piece of art that could not have been more perfect to stumble upon at, well, the end. As a first time burner, I of course had no idea of the scope of this type of an event; the size, the precision, the effort that all goes into making it a reality. I thought of your artwork not only as an end, but a beginning of what was to come next year...a horizon, if you will. In the background, there is nothing but endless playa and endless possibilities for what is to come. All good things come to an end, if not 'the end', but endings have to have beginnings, do they not? A big cycle, I suppose...
Anyways, I took a day to explore by myself---one of the best experiences of my life---and low and behold my meandering brought me to 'the end'. A fabulous place to sit, relax, reflect, and take in all the beauty that is Black Rock City.
Thanks for your contribution! :) Enjoy the picture...it's not much, but it brings back many wonderful memories.
Can't wait for next year! Until then...sweet dreams!

Photo by Chad Berkley Hello Wizard,
I have a few pics of your art on my BM08 gallery. If you like any of
them and want a hi-res version, let me know. Thanks for building such a
great end cap on the city! I loved it and went out there several times
to ponder The End of the city.

As per your request via the e-mail list, here are the pics I took of your art installation. We met briefly at "The End" - we were apart of the group that took pictures mooning the camera in front of the installation! (if you get those photos, I would love to see them, ha ha!) Thank you so much for your contribution! My buddy, Huevos and I both looked forward to reaching "The End" during our many deep playa excursions! Let me tell you, it was worth the effort biking through the dunes to the deepest art installation on the playa! Thanks again! Hope these photos do it at least a little justice!
